1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
2 ripe bananas
1/2 cup raisins
2 cups flour
3 tsp baking powder
salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Method
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream butter and sugar, add well beaten egg and
vanilla. Mash ripe bananas
Sift flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg, adding
alternately with mashed bananas
Add raisins. Mixture should drop easily off a
spoon
Add a little milk if too stiff
Scrape into a greased loaf pan and bake at
350°F until golden brown and skewer inserted
comes out clean
