1/2 cup flour
2 1/2 tbsp. baking powder
1/4 tbsp. salt
1 1/2 cups cornmeal
3 tbsp. melted margarine
1 cup milk
Grease an 8 inch square baking tin
Heat in the oven for 3 minutes.
Into a bowl sift the dry ingredients together.
Using a few rapid strokes stir in the lightly beaten egg, milk and margarine. ( the mixture should be still be lumpy.)
Bake on the top shelf at 425° F for 30 minutes.
