1 lb salted pig tail
1 lb stewing beef cubed
2 cups Gungo Peas green or dried
4 qt water
4 small potatoes peeled and cubed
1 Sprig fresh thyme
salt,and hot pepper to taste
In a pan of boiling water combine pig tail, beef, and Gungo peas.
Cook for 1 1/2hr- 2 hrs or until beans are tender and begin to split open
Add the potatoes, thyme and hot pepper
Add salt, and hot pepper to taste.
Stir the soup and allow simmering for 50 mins
